Learning the Ropes

Ok, so as you can see I need to learn to keep up with this blog thingy :) Been busy, busy, busy!!!!

Over the Memorial weekend we took a road trip from Austin to Carlsbad, NM to visit Carlsbad Caverns. The kids were stoked and loved all the hiking and exploring that they got to do. i will say though I was especially glad to be back in Texas, nothing beats that southern hospitality.


After driving 8 hours of course the kids were ready to stretch their legs so we went and spent the rest of the day at the pool. Then met friends for Mexican food at our favorite Mexican restaurant, Serrano's. My husband being the mixologist of the family decides he needs a Memorial Day Margarita :) And I have to say the bartender was happy to oblige and did a pretty good job!



This week consists of my sons last day of 5th grade :( My dad visiting from Singapore and getting my butt back in the workout swing because we are headed to Mexico in 9 days!!! Hope everyone has a FABULOUS weekend and hopefully I will get better at this blog :)

HOWDY (that's hello in Texan!)

Well so it begins....my very first blog! Now please bear with me because this will probably get real ugly until I get the hang of it :) 


My family! 
I want to mainly use this blog to connect with others that may be on a similar fitness journey as myself. I have recently started Tone It Up and also Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30. I am very pleased with the both and excited to see results. 


I have previously used P90X & P90X2 with some results but not enough community to help with follow through and accountability. Which I need A LOT of!


Eating healthy is always my goal but being a born & raised Texan I do LOVE to eat! And I have always believed that you can eat what you want as long as it is in moderation.


So with all that said, here we go!
